Tentative Schedule 1150-015, 017, 036 Fall 2010

Tim Lyons
Due to the vicissitudes of life, this schedule may go through many changes. However, this
tentative schedule should at least give you an idea of what assignments you will have to do,
what quizzes you will have to take, and (approximately) when you will have to do them. The
writing assignments fall into three units.

Unit II: Using the tools in closed-data-set arguments. Primary Text: Casebook Rhetoric
Unit III. Into the real world: 1. Inquiry assignment 2. Torture-refutations. Primary
texts: your own; the material you find from your own inquiry.
