Abortion
The issue of whether abortion should be legalized or not has been debated for decades by
various individuals and groups. These discussions have resulted to a division into two groups in
the society. One group consists of those claiming that it is the right of the mother to decide
whether to keep the fetus or not thus arguing that abortion should be legalize. The second group
consist of those that are against it claiming it is immoral to kill an innocent unborn child while
various childless couples are willing to adopt. With each group maintaining its grounds through
concrete support of arguable points, it has been difficult to reach a consensus on whether to
Personally, I think abortion should be legalized but under specific conditions such as rape
or when the fetus threatens the life of the mother. First, when a woman is raped she conceives

The fact that a woman is the mother of the unborn child may make abortion an immoral act from
personal or the society perspective. However, on the occasion that the fetus is illegally
conceived, for example through rape, or that the continuing growth of the fetus endangers the life
of the mother then it would be justifiable to terminate it. Therefore, in conclusion, abortion
should be legalized in the terms that the actions leading to the abortion are justifiable through
critical analysis.
