Comic art
Are visual form of storytelling
that pair images with text.
Types
of
Comic art
COMIC BOOK

usually in chronological
sequence, typically telling a
single story or a series
of different stories.
COMIC STRIP

Series of sequential
images arranged in panels,
that may or may not use
words and symbols to tell
a story or part of a
story.
DIGITAL COMICS

(also known as electronic


comics)

Are comics released


digitally, as opposed to in
print.

that it describes.
To make the comic art more
visually appealing,
art elements and
design principles
are still applied
Refers to the arrangement of
opposite elements and
effects. For example light and
dark colors, smooth and
rough textures, large and
small shapes.

CONTRAST
Refers to the
distribution of visual
weight in an artwork

BALANCE
Refers to the regular
repetition of visual
elements such as shape,
lines, colors and more.

RHYTHM
Refers to the cohesiveness of an
artwork- how whole, consistent,
and complete it appears. It is the
pleasing combination of elements
to create a harmonious
composition.
