PROJECT DATA
Number of Units 244 Retail (sf) 15,000
Parking 343 Community Center (sf) 3,000

This 10.38-acre plan sensitively reimagines the site of the closed,

fire-damaged high school in Birmingham’s historic Ensley district
as a vital community hub that offers affordable homes and other
neighborhood amenities.
Responsive to the needs and fabric of the surrounding area, this plan provides a mix of low-scale
homes, reconnected roadways, new green spaces, a standalone Early Learning Center, and a 15,000
sf retail space—an adaptive reuse of the existing school gymnasium.
