    NARRATIVE REPORT

    WEBINAR ON NATIONAL BARKADA KONTRA DROGA


    CONVENTION

    I. INTRODUCTION

    The Office of the Undersecretary for Administration (OUA) through


    the Bureau of Learner Support Services-youth Formation Division (BLSS-
    YFD), in cooperation with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), conducted
    the National Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Convention last 29-30 October
    2021 via virtual platforms. This activity aims to encourage greater youth
    involvement in the prevention of drug abuse and sustain the nationwide
    implementation of the BKD Program.
    All active BKD Chapters through their Officers and
    Coordinators/Advisers had been participated in this significant activity. The
    OUA encouraged Regional and Division Youth Formation Coordinators to
    participate in the activity, disseminate this information and mobilize
    participants.
    All interested individuals may register through

    II.          ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN

    Anda Integrated School personnel and learners headed by the school


    head; Carla Fatima D.Soriano, actively participated in this National Barkada
    Kontra Droga (BKD) Convention last 29-30 October 2021 via virtual
    platforms. Glaiza G. Salting, a Grade 12 GAS adviser, disseminated and
    encouraged learners to participate and to attend this convention. Margielyn
    Lopez, a Grade 12 and President of Barkada Kontra Droga from Anda
    Integrated School lead her colleague to watch this webinar.
    On the first day of webinar, October 29, 2021, the program started on
    Opening Program, National Anthem, Opening prayer, Introduction of
    participants, Words of Welcome by Adolf P. Aguilar, Chief, Youth Formation
    Division and Inspirational Messages by Undersecretary Earl P. Saavedra,

    Dangerous Drugs Board. There were audio visual presentations about 2019
    National Household Survey on the Patterns and Trends of Drug Abuse and
    The Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS). Assistant Secretary Maria
    Belen Angelita V. Matibag, MGM, CSEE Deputy Executive Director for
    operation Operation gave message about Psychological Aspects of Drug
    Abuse.

    On the afternoon, Dr. Bernardino A. Vicente, Chairman of the Board


    Philippine Tripartite Accreditation for Health Facilities discussed about
    Mental Health Awareness.
    On the second day of the webinar October 30, 2021, we have learned
    a lot of the Best Practices of Gawad Siklab 2021 BKD Category Best
    Program Implementers for their audio-visual presentations.
    The closing ceremony of this event was a very informative afternoon
    by the closing message from Lope B. Santos III, OIC-DIR IV, BLSS.
    The webinar was fruitful. It contains experience, learnings and
    insights. Anda Integrated School will continue to intensify the Barkada
    Kontra Droga. Hopefully the relevance of this will be realized among youth.
