charismatic attitude.

required strong social and communication skills.

develop skills in customer service and communication and as a result have acquired a
great knowledge of the retail industry.

September 2009 – June 2010

Spent last year living and working as an English teacher in Madrid at the CEIP El Alamo.
The outcomes of this experience are greater confidence in communicating, and strong
ability to follow strict instructions and to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Other
positive outcomes are increased fluency in Spanish which was also the purpose of the
time there, and also increased capability in dealing with high levels of responsibility as
the school was a bilingual primary school. The post required punctuality to the highest
degree, and a high level of professionalism.

Other experience includes:

- Child-minding at weekends and acting as a mentor to a younger student throughout
sixth form at school.
- Giving private speaking classes in groups of five or on a one-to-one basis which
requires concentration and professionalism.
Hobbies and Interests

I am a keen Sports person and am a member of the Queen’s University Women’s Rowing
Club for which I competed before living in Spain; however in Madrid I rowed for El Club
del Remo de Retiro 66, where I trained with both male and female crews and got the
chance to compete. Being on a rowing team involves a lot of dedication, discipline and
commitment but is also very enjoyable as it encourages team spirit. My main interests
are Rowing, Sports and fitness, but I also love music, art and going to gigs. I enjoy Horse
Riding and Running, and also enjoy languages and traveling, and regularly go
backpacking during the summer. I am currently studying Spanish at Queen’s University
Belfast, but I have also studied and have good knowledge of both German and
Portuguese, and have recently started to study French again. I feel that I am an outgoing,
hardworking person who enjoys meeting new people, socializing, and accepting new
challenges.
