    HOMOSEXUALITY

    Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer also known as LGBTQ Community is very
    rampant today. In this society, LGBTQ does not perceive as a standard. Thus, LGBTQ members face
    constant issues about equality and respect. Does it really matter if we accept them? Is it really a big
    deal not to promote LGBTQ in this society as we follow the traditional sexual orientation?
    Gender equality is what LGBTQ Community is seeking for. They have been fighting Gender
    Equality for years yet they can't feel the essence of equality. According to the article entitled "About
    LGBT Human Rights," by Amnesty International USA, it states, "However, across the globe, there
    remain many instances where an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity can lead them to
    face execution, imprisonment, torture, violence or discrimination." It is sad to hear that being
    themselves suffer horrible actions. If society will accept LGBT no one will go through execution and
    discrimination. But there are consequences in accepting LGBT in our society. LGBT may increase the
    rate of HIV cases. Another thing is that according to International Research having LGBT in the
    society can confuse children about their gender role and expectation to the society.
    Discrimination is one of the prominent issues about LGBTQ Community. According to the
    research 9 out 10 members of the LGBT said that they suffer discrimination. Discrimination comes in
    any forms. Discrimination in employment, business, social environment, and other aspects to their
    life. Promoting LGBT could lessen the discrimination they are struggling with. However LGBT is not
    part of the norm. It is not the traditional sexual orientation that people had. LGBT is against to the will
    of God. Being a homosexual is a sin.
    Promoting LGBTQ Community in this society will be a hard choice. Accepting them sounds
    good to their side but consequence is in the end. According to the research almost 73℅ of the HIV
    cases is coming from LGBTQ Community. Where in if LGBT will have the same rights as men and
    women. Probably the rates of HIV cases will continuously growing. Hence it is not a hindrance to
    promote LGBT because there are many ways to diminish the rate of HIV cases. LGBT can undergo to
    symposium or seminars that can help them to be aware about the said issue.
    LGBTQ Community is not seen as normal. It is against to the will of our Lord. During the
    creation, God only created man and women. Where man is only for woman. Having LGBT in the
    society is not good. Many will be affected beliefs and tradition will be changed. Homosexuality is a
    sin. Having LGBT will continue to weaken the traditional family values essential to our society.
    However LGBT are humans too. They have the rights to love and to be loved. People can’t continue
    to use Bible as an excuse to accept and promote LGBT. Throwing them bible verses and beliefs can’t
    change them as homosexual being. It does not mean accepting LGBT in the society but rather
    promoting equality.
    Promoting LGBT will lessen discrimination and gender equality will be attainable. However,
    society will be affected to the said promotion in terms of beliefs and norms. But the decision is still up
    to you! It is in you! Just remember, "Even if you can’t change all the people around you, you can
    change the people you choose to be around. Life is too short to waste your time on people who don’t
    respect, appreciate and value you. Spend your life with people who make you smile, laugh, and feel
    loved."
