Here are the syllable types:
Open Syllables
An open syllable ends in vowel
1. Absoluteley open syllable – graphically and phonetically ends in a vowel.
Examples: Me, so, I, fly, she, flu
R-Controlled Syllables
1. Vowel+r
In r-controlled syllable types, a vowel is followed by the letter r.
Examples: car, bar
2. Vowel+r+vowel
Examples: care, bare
