2.0 INSTALLATION OF UNDERGROUND UPVC PIPING

relevant material to be used for a particular pipe work installation.

2.2 Confirm all sanitary wares roughing in measurement and exact location of floor
traps by referring to selected wares model specification and toilet enlarged detail
drawing. Peg all required location and marked out alignment of all piping route.

2.3 Calculate and set out the invert level and fall of pipe according to the approved
working drawing. Refer to existing floor slab and construction reference level line
set out at site as base of setting out of pipe invert level.

2.4 Excavate pipe trench according to route, which being pegged earlier. Width of
trench shall be sufficient for working space during piping installation.

2.5 After excavation completed, manually touch up base of trench, double check on
invert and gradient of trench. Ensure surface of trench is evenly flattened
thoroughly without hollow’s voids and foreign material.

2.6 Measure and cut pipes to be install to desired length. Remove burrs on cut pipe end.
Apply solvent cement to both end of pipe socket or fittings joint evenly.

cement immediately.

2.8 Hold the joint for 30 second without movement.

2.9 Remove excess dripping cement with a soft cloth.

2.10 Align and lay joined pipe in trench, double check on pipe gradient and adjust
position of pipe to exact desire position.

2.11 Backfill with soil partially of pipe length to ensure pipe stay at desire position.
Leave installed piping to cure.

2.12 Upon immediate inspection by relevant parties, backfill pipe in trench and compact
manually with consolidated material from the excavation to existing ground level.
