    Introduction to Indian Contract Act 1872
     The Indian Contract act 1872 is also known as mercantile laws (Business Laws)
     It came enforced on 1 September 1872.
     Its basis is English common law, but it was passed in the Indian Parliament (Calcutta
    Parliament)
     It states and deals with the principles of the Law of Contract
     This Act describes different stages in the Formation of a Contract, its Performance,
    Essential Elements, Breach of Contract and Remedies
