NIMS University Jaipur: Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism Course fee,

A Diploma level Mass Communications course is the Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast

Journalism. Broadcast journalism is the field of news and journals that are broadcast and published

through electronic technologies rather than traditional ones like printed newspapers and posters.

Students who earn a Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism are prepared for upper-level

and managerial jobs in the media, as well as academic careers. The course is aimed to supplement

the knowledge learned during an undergraduate study in journalism, writing, editing, production, or

mass media. Students learn how to swiftly and accurately communicate news stories to television

and radio audiences.


Duration of Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism

● One Year

Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism

● Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of study. Attained at least 50 percent in the
qualifying examination (45 percent in the case of candidates from the reserved category).

Scholarship

● Government Schemes –The different state governments would return the entire tuition cost to

SC/ST/OBC students in accordance with their state government policies.

Scholarship for Programs after 10+2


Merit-Based Scholarship for Programs after 10+2 based on approved board. Scholarships will be

awarded to students in class XII in 2020/2021 who meet the program's eligibility criteria.

● 100% Scholarship - 94% aggregate and above


● 75% Scholarship - 90% aggregate and above
● 50% Scholarship - 80% aggregate and above

NIMS Entrance Examinations

Admission to scholarship programs following 10+2 is based on the NIMS UNIVERSITY Common

Scholarship Combined Entrance Examinations.

(Only for those with a Class XII percentage of less than 80% in an approved board.)

● 50% Scholarship- 95% and above


● 25% Scholarship- 90% and above
● 20% Scholarship- 85% and above
● 10% Scholarship- 60% and above

Scholarship admission for post-graduate programs is based on the NIMS UNIVERSITY Common

Scholarship and Entrance Examinations.

(Only for individuals with a Class XII grade point average of less than 70% and a graduation rate of

less than 65%.)

● 50% Scholarship- 95% and above


● 25% Scholarship- 90% and above
● 20% Scholarship- 85% and above
● 10% Scholarship- 60% and above

Programs after Graduation


Merit-Based Scholarship for Post-Graduation Programs Following enrollment in the program and

verification of authentic documents, a scholarship will be given.

● 100% Scholarship - 94% aggregate and above in Class XII and 85% in Graduation
● 75% Scholarship - 90% aggregate and above in Class XII and 80% in Graduation
● 50% Scholarship - 80% aggregate and above in Class XII and 75% in Graduation
● 25% Scholarship – 75% aggregate and above in Class XII and 70% in Graduation.
● 20% Scholarship – 70% aggregate and above in Class XII and 65% in Graduation

For State / National Level Players

● NIMS University is committed to developing and fostering talent. All candidates who have
competed in state and national games will get a 50% scholarship. Candidates with a valid
state and national level certificate who apply for all programs excluding council courses will
be considered for the 50% scholarship.

For State / National Level Entrance Examination

● Candidates who have taken any state or national levels entrance examination, such as JEE,
CLAT, and others, will receive an additional 10% scholarship.
● This additional 10% scholarship is in addition to the scholarship won on the basis of
merit-based scholarship, save for those who have already received 100%, and scholarship
gained on the basis of NIMS UNIVERSITY Common Scholarship cum Entrance
Examinations.
● Both UG and PG courses are eligible for a 10% scholarship.

For Specially Abled Candidates


● All candidates with a disability of more than 40% will be eligible for a 50% scholarship in both
UG and PG degrees. Such candidates must provide proof of eligibility at the time of
admission, and scholarships will be awarded following proper verification.

Scholarship for NIMS Alumni

● Only NIMS students who continue their higher education at NIMS Universities with a
maximum gap of two years are eligible for a 50% fee reduction.

Scholarship for Defence

● For candidates whose parents are in the military, a 10% additional scholarship will be
provided on top of the scholarship obtained on the basis of merit, except for those who have
already received 100% and scholarship obtained on the basis of NIMS UNIVERSITY
Common Scholarship cum Entrance Examinations.
● This additional 10% grant is available for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Special Note:-

● Seats in the scholarship program are limited. The percentages indicated are intended for the
purpose of qualifying for a scholarship. Candidates who score above a certain percentage
must fill out a NIMS application form. The Scholarship Committee makes the final decision
on whether or not to award a scholarship.
● Scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis, and they are subject to scholarship rules in the
second and subsequent years of the program. To continue receiving a 100 percent
scholarship, students must place in the top 5% of the program's merit ranking. In order to
keep their 75 percent scholarship, students must place in the top 10% of the merit list for the
program. In order to keep their 50 percent scholarship, students must place in the top 20% of
the merit list for the program.
● Scholarships are only available after one year if there are at least 30 students in the batch.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER:-

● Ph.D. programs are not eligible for the scholarship.


● Scholarships are not available for NIMS’s Diploma Paramedical, Nursing, Pharmacy, or
Architecture programs.
● Scholarships are exclusively available for tuition fees.
● Examination fees will be paid at the time of the examination, uniform kits will be purchased
as needed, and necessary club fees will be paid.
● All students who have been offered a scholarship based on the NIMS University Common
Scholarship or the NIMS University Common Entrance Examination are eligible for an
upgrade if their aggregate percentage in qualifying exams meets the criteria outlined in Prof.
(Dr.) Balvir Singh Tomar Merit-Based Scholarship. Such students must submit an application
as well as a legitimate copy of their results.
