3.  E. Razon is a waiter at the Kalye Fiesta.  His rest day is Wednesday.  He is paid overtime in excess of
40 hours a week.  His hourly rate is P13.75.  for the week, he worked for 50 hours, excluding the 5  1/2
hours he rendered on Wednesday.  His regular overtime premium is 25% and his holiday overtime
premium is 100%.  Compute his gross earnings.

4.  C. Estefania is paid on an hourly basis.  The company allows employees 15-minute grace period in the
morning.  Office time begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. with one-hour lunch break and 15
minutes coffee break each in the morning and in the afternoon.  An employee who comes after the 15-
minute grace period forfeits the same and deductions are made from his or her wage according to the
schedule given below.  An overtime premium of 25% is given for regular overtime; 50% for Saturday
work; and double-time for Sundays and holidays.  C. Estefanio’s hourly rate is P12.25.

                       16 minutes  - 1/4 hour deduction

17 - 30 minutes -  1/2 hour deduction

31 - 45 minutes -  3/4 hour deduction

46 - 60 minutes -  1 hour deduction


C. Estefanio’s time card showed the following:

5.  Vida M. works for a company that pays overtime for hours worked over 48 in a week.  For regular
overtime (hours over 48 in a week), the company pays time and a half.  For overtime on Sundays and
holidays, the company pays double-time.  Compute for Vida M.’s earnings for the week detailing her
regular pay, her regular overtime pay, and her Sunday/holiday pay given the following:
