This project is the outcome of a group effort to whom credit and technical responsibility goes. The
project is based on an assignment which was given to course participants and supervised by Dr. Abdel
Rahman El Gamal as a part of “Fish Culture Development” Training course. This annual course is
organized by the Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture - (EICA). Names of the team and
countries are shown in the following slide; their portraits are in the last slide. 2009

Getting fry from the dealer.
Total length: 1-2 cm

Bottle of varying size are required for culture. The volume of the
bottle ranges 0.75 – 2.50 Liters

3. Chemical Substances
Methylene Blue, Methylene Yellow, Ampicilin, Vitamins, Potassium
permanganate, Copper sulphate, Sodium Chloride, etc may be used for
preventing / treating diseases.
4. Fish Feed
Fry fed mainly with pellets, Mosquito larvae and Blood worms.
5. Aeration equipments
A small air pump with small tubes will be used for aeration.
