Describe the four characteristics of services that marketers must consider when

designing marketing programs. According to these characteristics, how do the services

offered by a massage therapist differ from those offered by a grocery store?

answer

Services have certain characteristics that define the best approach to facilitating better
customer service. Marketing programs that increase customer satisfaction are important for
attracting customers.

By having marketers develop marketing programs for services, services need to meet the
needs of customers in the market. These properties can be intangible, lack of ownership,
separability, variability, and corruption.

Potential Corruption-This is a property that means that the service cannot be saved and
saved for later use. Instead, the service is supposed to be consumed when it's created, as it
can't be saved under any circumstances. So the service needs to be consumed as it is provided
to the client.

Intangible Services are intangible compared to tangible products. Services are intangible,
and that's why you think it's perishable. Consumers cannot experience and feel the service.
Therefore, marketers must continue to deliver services to their target audience.

Indivisible Services are meant to be consumed when provided by the company. This means
that marketers should always focus on maximizing the value they provide to consumers. For
example, an injection into a client is given to a patient when needed.

Variable service is customer dependent. Different clients require different kinds of services.
For example, a company that provides health care to its clients needs to observe services to
their patients. These important service elements vary according to the needs of each patient.

Insufficient ownership The client is unable to own the service. Services are provided to our
customers and will be terminated when these services are also terminated. Therefore, the
client cannot move with the client.

The differences in the services offered by a dentist differ from that offered by a drug store

The services provided by dentists are very diverse due to the diverse needs of each dental
customer. Pharmacies, on the other hand, offer less variable services, such as dentist services.

Dentist Service is not owned by you. However, pharmacies do provide ownership of the
products they sell to their customers. This means that the customer owns these drugs.

Also, the services provided by pharmacies are tangible. For example, drugs are physical, but
the services provided by dentists are intangible. You will not be able to access the services of
the dentist.
