Introduction of Project
The project “Cafe Management System” gives us the

facility to manage the Cafe. This is helpful for staff or admin for
managing food order, billing of food order and managing customers
details. This is accessed by only admin, staff and customer.
We will developed this system in C++ language. We can

enter the details of food/order and retrieve the details of that food item.
We can generate the bill for the customers. We can generate the
membership card for the customers. In this project we can maintain the
GST calculation of every food item.

 Controlling your food cost.
 Adjusting your menu and recipes for maximum profitability.
 Saving time and eliminating human error.
 Reconciling your bank transaction.
 Maximize your business intelligence.
 Avoid paper work.
 It is simple to learn and easy to use.
 It increase the security.

Objective of the Project
The objective of this project is to build an electronic cafe

management system using all of the skills and techniques from the field
ensuring that no common development mistakes are reproduced.
1. Automation:
This system automates each and every activity of the
manual system and increase its throughput. Thus the response time of
the system is very less and it works very fast.
2. Accuracy:
This system provides the user a quick response with very
accurate information regarding the user etc. Any details in an accurate
manner as when required.
3. User Friendly:
This “Cafe Management System” has a very user
friendly interface. Thus the users will full very easy to work on it. This
system provide accuracy along with pleasant interface. Make the
present manual system more interactive, speedy and user friendly.
4. Availability:
All Transaction of cafe stored permanently in the, can
see the data the availability of any information regarding cafe, order,
transaction, food item, whatever needed.
5. Maintain Cost:
Reduce the cost of maintenance, it is standalone
system so no required of cost for maintain it.

Scope of the Project
This system will help manage and run the cafe

business systematically. In this management system, it can be used by
the customers to order food. This will ultimately lead to hire less waiters
and create an opportunity to appoint more chefs and better kitchen
place to serve food faster.
Customer can also make payment to online(‘Phonepe’,

‘Googlepay’). All the information about expenses and profit stored in
the system. Also the required information about customer will be saved
in the system which can be only accessed by the system admin.

The Existing System
There are many computerized cafe management system

available but for each system there exist disadvantage or missing
features. The most common type of cafe management system contains a
static order entry computer system. Typically this common approach is
adequate to the cafe requirements but still requires handwritten orders.
The slightly different approach was implemented in a cafe.

The restaurant and cafe utilizes a roller coaster approach to serving the
food and an order entry system fully operate by customer.

Proposed System
The main aim of this project is to create a cafe

management system that can incorporate the benefits of all the exiting
solutions but without any of the drawbacks as well as including many
new features.
1. Meal option and preference selection:

Flexible meal options available for the customer.
2. Quick order system:

Waiters no longer required to walk to and from the central
order computer system.
3. Discount function:
Giving the discount to customer who have the membership
on our cafe
4. Order alerts:
Kitchen staff in direct communication with waiters allowing
the kitchen to notify the waiter that service is required.
5. Flexible GUI design:

Software capable of being used on any sized screen and so
must have flexible design.

6. GST calculation:
In this project we can maintain the GST calculation of every
food item.
7. Membership:
We can generate the membership for the customers.
