    General Information Pump Set

    For many years our four-stroke engines are being used DCI / 319 - September 2012
    successfully in both, ocean-going vessels and power
    plants. The experience gained during this time forms the Concerns
    basis for the continuous development of the engine and MAN Diesel & Turbo four-stroke
    individual components. engines L+V: 32/40, 32/40CD,

    This continuous development also covers the safety of 48/60CR, 51/60DF, L58/64CD

    Preventing leakages between monoblock
    cylinder and valve support.
    It has been found, that in individual cases the
    overhauling and assembly of the valve support to the Filing Advice
    monoblock cylinder of the fuel injection pump, was not Assembly group / work card 200
    conducted according to our MAN recommendations.

    From time to time leakage was observed on the sealing


    surface between the valve support and the pump
    element after reassembly. For general safety and
    operation reliability we have therefore introduced a new
    spare part set to avoid any further operating problems.

    Further Procedure

    As a result of the above mentioned experience and


    referring to our Diesel Customer Information No. 262 –
    11/08, which describes the tightening procedure and
    refinishing work on the sealing surface of the valve
    support and the monoblock cylinder, we would like to
    introduce our new spare part set.

    The set includes a complete valve support, monoblock cylinder and all necessary O-rings. All difficulties
    possibly occuring during the mounting process are eliminated by a ready assembled and tested part by MAN
    Diesel & Turbo and can be mounted directly on the pump casing by the operating or maintenance personnel
    or the crew.

    The safety of the fuel pressure line and the operation reliability of the pump is given with this set.

    In addition to increased reliability and safety an extra advantage is also the profitability. With this set one
    saves working time since the assembly of the complex parts of the injection pump is no longer necessary.
