TheaterPro 6500K Color Temperature Technology …

The NTSC Standard Color Temperature is 6500K because it is the standard for the editing
equipment used in the conversion of film to DVD or other secondary video formats. TheaterPro
6500K Temperature Technology makes sure that the video you watch is set to that standard
color temperature so that what you see is as true to what the film to video editors intended it
to be.

3 Line Digital Comb Filter …

With a 3 Line Digital Comb Filter, D-Series TVs deliver a sharper picture, smoother graphics,
and a picture more rich in color than standard televisions. By comparing three consecutive
scanning lines, our 3 Line Digital Comb Filter corrects distracting picture anomolies such as
hanging dots, color bleeding, and other cross color interference. No matter what television
show or program you are watching, the digital comb filter will enhance your television viewing
experience.

Dual Tuner Picture in Picture w/New EZ Surf …

All JVC PIP models for 2002 add a new convenience feature we call EZ
Surf which utilizes the PIP window to surf all the available
channels so you don't have to change your current
program to see what else is on.
Also, dual tuners mean easy connections without second JVC's Freeze can
capture a screen
sources and, as always, you can still Swap the picture shot of an important

Every D-Series remote control is preprogrammed with the IR codes for today's most popular
brands of DVD players, VCRs, satellite dishes and cable boxes. Each remote also comes with a
TV/VCR button that allows customers to seamlessly change their VCR between TV and VCR
modes. Illuminated key features are available on remotes for screen sizes 27 and above.*

Hyper Surround Sound …

JVC's exclusive 3-Dimensional soundfield simulator makes having home theater sound without
having rear speakers possible. By electronically processing the stereo audio signal and
manipulating the phase relationships and frequency response for a fuller, richer 3D effect,
Hyper Surround makes it seem like the sound is surrounding you.

AV Compu Link III …

New AV Compu Link III makes the TV the heart of your home theater. All AV Compu Link III
televisions are capable of accepting the commands from the remote controls of select JVC
receivers. Simply insert a pre-recorded videotape into an AV Compu Link compatible VCR, or a
disc into the DVD player, and the receiver will select the proper inputs — everything turns on
automatically. Home theater has never been so simple.***

Apacon …
Apacon circuitry enhances picture sharpness by sharpening the transitions between darks and
brights, by adding pre-shoot and over-shoot, and by speeding up the transitions. Apacon ensures
details are enhanced so that the picture is always clear and sharp.

New Features for 2002 …

Icon-based OSD with Half Tone Display … we believe that aesthetics are an added bonus to
functionality, and that's why our new menu screens are icon-based, bright colored, high contrast
menus with a new half tone background that lets you see the program behind them.

Interactive Plug In Menu … an even easier menu to help you setup your preferences right from
the first time you turn on the TV. The Interactive PIM walks you through each menu, one at a
time so you do not have to switch back and forth between basic setup menus ever again.

XDS ID Display … when turned on the XDS ID Display provides useful information for viewers
such as a channels call letters, the network's name, and even a program name. Note:
broadcasters provide the XDS information and therefore it may vary.

On-Timer Volume Setup … a supplement to the handy On-Off Timer, the On-Timer Volume Setup
feature lets you preset the volume at which the TV will turn on when the On-Timer is activated.

Front Panel Lock … the new front panel lock feature lets you decide whether the buttons on the
front panel will operate the TV or not. This feature is especially handy when toddlers are in a
button pressing mood!

Auto Shutoff … this power saving feature insures that you are not wasting energy by monitoring
the incoming signal minute by minute and automatically shutting the TV off when no signal is
received for more than a minute.
