BIOGRAFI
SUPER BEAVER was formed in 2005 by senior and junior high school students who started
their musical activities in the areas of Shibuya and Shimokitazawa.
In 2007, the band held their first one-man live at Shimokitazawa’s CLUB 251, which sold out.
As the band grew in popularity, they soon expanded their activities to the whole of the Kanto
region, the eastern part of Japan. In 2008,SUPER BEAVER released their first indie mini-
album Shinkyou, that almost instantly made them popular. More lives, and radio and TV
appearances followed.
The release of Shinkyou was followed by a nationwide tour, and wherever the band went their
lives were highly anticipated. The final live of the tour was held in Shibuya O-WEST, where
once again, the tickets were sold out.
In 2009 SUPER BEAVER released a new single, Shinkokyu, which was used as an ending
theme in the extremely popular anime “Naruto Shippuden.” This contributed greatly to the
band’s popularity. In November that year, another single - Shiawase - appeared. Owing to a joint
effort of “Hohou no irando," a website for mobile phones publishing mobile novels, and M-ON!,
a special website was created where everyone could sample the single. The website boasted over
a million visits. Nearing the end of November the band released their first album called Koufuku
Kido and followed it with a promotional tour that started in March 2010.
The lyrics of the band describe the grief and anxiety of everyday life, yet they also express hope
for the future, and it was this message that attracted the attention of the producer of the movie
“Soranin.” As a result, an unreleased song ofSUPER BEAVER named Sasayakana is going to
feature in the movie; the news received acclaim from the public.Sasayakana will also feature on
a mini-album scheduled to be released on the October 6th this year.
With an ever-growing fan base, uplifting rock tunes and boundless energy that is poured into
every song, the future looks bright for SUPER BEAVER.
