Why is Multiperspectivity important?

Studying history, and understanding what we are capable of, is an integral part of changing
society for the better, now and in the future. ... This is where history can become "tainted"
by perspective. Different people will interpret things like historical cause and effect differently.
It brings a more complex, complete and richer understanding of the past. It can be used to show
corroboration of acts, to show diverse perspectives of a single event, and to showcase the
human condition in compelling ways.
Multiperspectivity “in the past” refers to parallel or synchronic contemporaneous
subjects' perspectives, and its educational function is typically to teach students that
different historical actors may have had different co-existing perspectives on a certain
object based on different experiences, beliefs

1. Kartilya ng Katipunan is a set of principles that shows the path on how

each and every one of us must live of lives by living to the fullest through good
values. The  Kartilya ng Katipunan was made to change the thoughts of every
Filipino’s unacceptable behavior.
2. The Katipunan movement frightened the Spanish and their supporters in
the country. Consequently, the authorities arrested or exiled some 4,000

by no means united; Emilio Aguinaldo served as president of the insurgent
government while José Rizal headed the Liga Filipina.
3. The Philippine Revolution is one of the most important events in the
country’s history, awakening a proud sense of nationalism for generations of
Filipinos to come. In a period of heavy struggle and conflict, Filipinos of
different backgrounds united with a common goal: to resist colonialism.
4. Just like Rizal who pushed Filipinos to think critically with full
understanding, this code of conduct was made to inform people of what
they deserve to know for making their lives better.
5. Going back to the past, the journey to freedom is long and hard. The
price of bravery and principle is high. Back then, they thought that the
day of real freedom will forever remain a dream. And through Kartilya ng
Katipunan, Filipinos were united to fight for what they own. Kartilya ng
Katipunan became an oath the every Katipuneros must follow to show
their determination in being a part of the people who wanted a change.

It’s the best description we have of the Philippines in the early 16th century, and of just how
Magellan’s expedition encountered the islands and the people, so it’s very valuable
