2.0 ACADEMIC HISTORY

•2014 to 2018: I Pursued Degree of Bachelor of Science in Aquatic sciences and


Fisheries Technology at University of Dar es Salaam.

•2012 to 2014: Advanced secondary school (Kahororo High School, Tanzania) pursued
combination of Physics Chemistry and Biology.

•2008 to 2011: Ordinary secondary school (Kilabela Secondary School, Tanzania)


•2001 to 2007: I attended Primary education at Mweli primary School in Mwanza

3.0 WORKING EXPERIENCE

2019 to 2020: I worked with Abt associates, Title of the project;- indoor residual spraying (IRS) the National
Malaria Controlling Programme (NMCP), The programme is under U.S Presidents Malaria
Initiatives. My position was site supervisor, I performed various activities including, preparing
daily reports and submit to data centre, ensure all staffs performs their daily activities as instructed,
solve the existed challenges and problems.

• 2016 to 2019: I worked at Aqua —Farms Organization, P.O Box 22564, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

ACTIVITIES; writing research proposals concerning aquatic environment and fisheries, and
participate in researches projects as field officer invited by other institutes. Introducing the
organization to the other institutes or to the community, also disseminating the works of the
organizations through mass media. Overseeing the administration programs and strategic plans of
the organization, fundraising, marketing and community outreach.

Conference participated
2017: I participated in Alliance for African Partnership (AAP). Organized by Michigan State University
in collaboration with RUFORUM and University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania at Hyatt Regency
Dar es Salaam the Kilimanjaro.
I attended the 10th WIOMSA scientific symposium at Julius Nyerere International Convention
Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Workshops
2017: I attended workshop for graduate students on Opportunities of aquatic resources; Fish farming as a
major opportunity organized by Hekima talk and Aqua-Farms Organization (AFO) at University of
Dar es Salaam.

I Participated in the Training Workshop on Remote Sensing Applications for Forested Wetlands
Inventory and Assessment organized by the Institute of Marine Sciences of the University of Dar
es Salaam in collaboration with USDA Forest Service International Program, NASA Carbon
Monitoring System Program, WWF Germany, Wetlands International, WIO Mangrove Network
and WIOMSA, with generous support from USAID and hosted by Tanzania Forest Services
Agency, Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism at Mpingo House, Dar es Salaam.

I Organized the community in World Cleanup Day (WCD) event and also monitoring the all
process of the event in Dar es Salaam Region.

PROJECTS

2015 to 2019: TITTLE; Examining heavy metal on L. Harak and R. Karnaguta from Rufiji, Kunduchi and
Bagamoyo site of Indian Ocean in Tanzania
ACTIVITIES; Dissecting the fish, removing fish tissue, liver, Gonads, gills and ottolioth, both
sample were measured in beam balance, the tissue, gills and liver were dried in oven, crushed and
packed for metal analysis. The samples were extracted from L. Harak and R. Karnaguta.

PROJECT TITTLE, Community based economization of rehabilitated fish ponds (Integrated


aquaculture) at wazo hill, Dar es Salaam Tanzania. We integrated fish earthen pond, chicken,
vegetable and plants.
ACTIVITIES, Participating in competition of quarry life award project at wazo hill Dar es Salaam
Tanzania in TWIGA Cement Industry.
POSITION AND AWARD WE WON; I and my team we won a first position in November 2018
and awarded euro 5000. Through this project my organization ( Aqua- Farms Organization) we
managed to teach more than 200 people who also start to practice at their respective area in Dar es
Salaam Tanzania.

TITTLE; Potential roles of mangroves in protecting adjacent marine habitats from land derived
nutrients loads at Mtoni Kijichi, Ras dege, Kunduchi and Bagamoyo site of Indian Ocean.

MY POSITION; Field Officer.
ACTIVITIES; collecting water sample, mangroves leaves, roots, shoots and sediments of the
respective area. The mangroves parts and sediments were dried in oven and crushed in motor to get
powder those I packed and sent UK for nutrients analysis. I performed nutrients analysis from
water sample in laboratory at UDSM.
TITTLE; Adapting to climate change in coastal livelihoods in Ghana, Tanzania, Thailand and the
Philippines.

TITTLE; Leaching stability of sea weeds and fish meal pellets as the source of protein for nile
tilapia.
ACTIVITIES; proposal write up and presentation, food formulation, one consist E. Spinosium
and another contain fish meal as the major source of protein. The leaching stability of food were
measured by placing the different amount of dry pellets on water one after a time and the residue
was measured. Research report writes up, for the all works I scored very good.

TITTLE; Determine the variation in fish growth between those in river Nyegezi and in Lake

ACTIVITIES; Fishing the species such as tilapia, hyplocromine, Nile perch, weighing their
length and weight, food contents, respective water parameters at their environment, producing the
graphs of the data to show the difference and write up the report.

TITTLE; Examination of weight length relationship to determine the growth of fish


(Tilapia) in pond per period of two months.

ACTIVITIES; measuring the weight and length of 100 fish and find the average weight and
length of the measured fish once per week, daily feeding the fish, the relationship between weight
and length development were observed through graphical representation, also report writing.
