B. Reason

(1) Objective:

The primary objective of this software update is to provide newly available

reliability/availability/maintainability (RAM) related fixes and features
as-well-as ease of use functionality to the LM2500+ DLE fleet.

(2) Condition/Event(s):

DLE engines across the customer base have experienced a wide range of
events from trips related to high combustor acoustics or the loss of a flame
sensor to operability issues related to the calculation of fuel compressibility.
The development of advanced algorithms has provided the opportunity to
improve on engine RAM. Advancements in software development tools
has provided productivity enhancements to control software developers
and end users.
