(1) Objective:
(2) Condition/Event(s):
DLE engines across the customer base have experienced a wide range of
events from trips related to high combustor acoustics or the loss of a flame
sensor to operability issues related to the calculation of fuel compressibility.
The development of advanced algorithms has provided the opportunity to
improve on engine RAM. Advancements in software development tools
has provided productivity enhancements to control software developers
and end users.

(4) Improvement:
The S3 block change for Woodward and GE Mark V and Mark VI controlled
engines includes EABAL logic for improved combustor acoustics protection,
a blowout detection fix to avoid loss of blowout protection after load drops,
a new algorithm to account for fuel compressibility effects, and CDP bleed
valve freeze logic to help prevent premature failure of bleed valve actuator
seals due to system noise.
C. Description
