Read and Solve:
1. Sixty-four infants were given anti-polio vaccine in one day. Eight of them
were boys. Give in simplest form the fractional part of the boys who were
given anti polio vaccine.
2. Forty of the ninety mothers who went to the health center were pregnant. What
fractional part of the mothers was pregnant? Give the answer in lowest term.
3. A teacher spends about six hours teaching in the classroom. What fraction of a
day is this? Simplify your answer.
4. Eight of forty students of I – Jupiter were absent. What fraction of the class
was present? Write it in simple form.
