what I have failed to do, through my

HOMILY

(At the end of the Homily, the symbol or

Profession of Faith or Creed within
prescribed, is either sung or said.)

NICENE CREED

I believe in one God, the Father almighty,

maker of heaven and earth, of all things
visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord
Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of
God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God
from true God, begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father; through him
all things were made. For us men and for
our salvation he came down from heaven,
(At the words that follow up to and
including and became man all bow)
became man and by the Holy Spirit was
incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became
man. For our sake he was crucified under
Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was
buried, and rose again on the third day in
accordance with the Scriptures. He
ascended into heaven and is seated at the
right hand of the Father. He will come again
in glory to judge the living and the dead and
his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the

giver of life, who proceeds from the Father
and the Son, who with the Father and the
Son is adored and glorified, who has
spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic

Church. I confess one baptism for the
forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the
resurrection of the dead and the life of the
world to come. Amen.

(instead of Niceno-Constantinopolitan
Creed, especially during Lent and
Easter time, the Baptismal Symbol of the
Roman Church known as the
Apostle’s Creed may be used.)

APOSTLE’S CREED

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus
Christ, his only Son, our Lord, (At the
words that follow, up to and
including the Virgin Mary, all bow.) who
was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of
the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell; on the third day he
rose again from the dead; he ascended into
heaven, and is seated at the right hand of
God the Father almighty; from there he will
come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic

Church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the
body, and life everlasting. Amen.
PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
(then follows the Universal Prayer, that is
the Prayer of the Faithful or Bidding
Prayers.)

LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

(It is desirable that the faithful express their
participation by making an offering,
bringing forward bread and wine for the
celebration of the Eucharist and perhaps
other gifts to relieve the needs of the Church
and of the poor.)

Priest : Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,

for through your goodness we have
received the bread we offer you: fruit of the
earth and work of human hands, it will
become for us the bread of life.
(If, however, offertory Chant is not sung, the
Priest may speak these words aloud; at the
end the people may acclaim):

People : Blessed be God for ever.

Priest : Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,

for through your goodness we have
received the wine we offer you: fruit of the
vine and work of human hand sit will
become our spiritual drink.

People : Blessed be God for ever.

Priest : Pray, brethren (brothers and sisters), that

my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable
to God, the almighty Father.
People : May the Lord accept the sacrifice at
your hands for the praise and glory of
his name, for our good and the good of
all His Holy Church.

PRAYER OVER THE GIFTS (From the Sacramentary)

THE EUCHARISTIC PRAYER (From the Sacramentary)

Priest : The Lord be with you.

People : And with your Spirit.

Priest : Lift up your hearts.

People : We lift them up to the Lord.

Priest : Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

People : It is right and just.

… Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven

and Earth are full of your Glory. Hosanna in the
highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of
the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. (Please kneel)

EUCAHRISTIC ACCLAIMATION

Priest : The Mystery of Faith

People : We proclaim your Death, O Lord and

profess your Resurrection until you
come again.

Or : When we eat this bread and drink this cup

we proclaim your death O Lord, until you
come again.
Or : Save us, Savior of the world, for by Cross
and Resurrection you have set us free.
Amen.

THE COMMUNION RITE

Priest : At the Savior's command and formed by

divine teaching, we dare to say:

OUR FATHER:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against
us; and lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil

Priest : Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil,

graciously grant peace in our days, that, by
the help of your mercy, we may be always
free from sin and safe from all distress, as
we await the blessed hope and the coming
of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

People : For the kingdom, the power and the

glory are yours now and forever.

Priest : Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your

Apostles, Peace I leave you, my peace I
give you, look not on our sins, but on the
faith of your Church, and graciously grant
her peace and unity in accordance with
your will. Who live and reign for ever and
ever.
People : Amen.

Priest : The peace of the Lord be with you always.

People : And with your Spirit.

Offer a SIGN OF PEACE

People : Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the

world, have mercy on us. Lamb of God, you
take away the sins of the world, have
mercy on us. Lamb of God, you take away
the sins of the world, grant us peace.
(The invocation may even be repeated
several times if the fraction is prolonged.
Only the final time, however, is grant us
peace said.)

Priest : Behold the Lamb of God,

behold him who takes away the sins of the
world. Blessed are those called to the
supper of the Lamb.

People : Lord, I am not worthy

that you should enter under my roof, but
only say the word and my soul shall be
healed.
