1
ACKNOWLEDGMENT

As a part of foreign study tour we were nominated for Sri Lanka and

Singapore. After having completed the tour of Sri Lanka we flew to

Singapore. After landing at the beautiful air port of Singapore and

completing the immigration and custom formalities we travelled

towards our booked hotel. Singapore was looking a neat, clean and

modern city.

We checked in the New Park Hotel in the downtown, which was very

good hotel and I found it very comfortable to stay in.

Once again, I reiterate to acknowledge the role of Mr. Dawar Husain,

our Chief Instructor, National Institute of Public Administration and

Government of Pakistan.

While at Singapore we were given a brief account about the development of

Singapore City State by the Officers of the Jurong Town Corporation at
JURONG TOWN HALL. They explained that the Jurong Town Corporation was
responsible for the sustainable industrial development of Singapore; and
planned the clean, green and smart estates to create attractive destinations for
Singapore's talent and communities. A few photographs of the meeting are

SENTOSA ISLAND

Sentosa Island, or Sentosa, is an island located off the Southern Coast of

Singapor’s Main Island. The island is separated from the main island of
Singapore by a channel of water, the Harbour and a smaller island between
Sentosa and the main island. Sentosa is a resort and tourist destination. In
December 1993 when I visited the island with my friend the attractions included a
long beach, a Cable Car, Musical Fountain, Under Water World, Mono Rail etc. I
visited the island with my friend and enjoyed almost all the attractions. A few
photographs taken at that time are placed in this travelogue as memoir.

SENTOSA MONORAIL
The Sentosa Monorail was the main means of transportation on the
island of Sentosa we moved from one attraction to another in this
monorail when required

Underwater World was an Oceanarioum located on the island of

Sentosa. It had many sea animals of different species including Sharks.
We moved through an underwater tunnel on a moving belt and see the
ocean world through a transparent glassy roof and were quite excited. A
few photographs are given below.

Sentosa Musical Fountain or Magical Fountain of Sentosa was an entertainment

background loud music and lights presenting a magical impact at the audience
who also danced with the rhythm
