    Earth - A home for a greener future

    Today we face one of our biggest challenges. Emissions of gases threaten our globe, and it's
    time that the world gets together and takes global warming seriously. Together we can
    create a greener future.

    The main effect of increased greenhouse gas emissions is global warming. All gases like
    carbon dioxide, methane, and fluorinated gases is all part of helping the Earth's atmosphere
    to heat up and have a negative effect on our globe.

    The environment is something that concerns us all. It's not just about taking care of the
    globe, but also for securing your own and future generations. Up to now, far too many
    people don't care about the climate change, and have not taken the climate crisis seriously.
    It is time that we get an understanding of the issues we face and that global warming is very
    dramatic and very negative. The nature are giving us warning signs, and we all know about
    it, but still no one does an action. Melting poles, endangered species and natural disasters
    are all warning signs. Today's pollution should really get reduced. We need to be more
    environmentally friendly and have future-oriented solutions. But for that, all the humanity
    is needed.

    It says that the world's energy consumption will get doubled by 2030. This will cause major
    threats to the environment if we continue as today. Air pollution, acid rain, increased
    temperatures, dripping and more extreme weather. It is therefore very important that we
    find and launch creative and sustainable solutions as quickly as possible.

    What can we do ?
    Many people are already trying to do big changes. Some companies contribute with good
    measures to prevent the climate crisis. In addition to reduce the emissions, they are now
    focusing on the storage of CO2 in the underground; To keep the gas away from the
    atmosphere. This new idea is also called Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS). This is a safe
    geological storage, and the gas can be used to increase the pressure in the reservoirs during
    oil production, which in turn leads to an better energy efficiency. Statoil is today a world
    leader not only in oil production but also within production under highly energy efficient
    processes.

    We can also do changes in our life by using less energy to achieve the same service, such as
    lighting and heating, you can also reduce consumption considerably and order less things
    from the web, including eBay. if you just make small environment friendly changes in your
    daily life. It will have an great impact on our globe and at the end create a big change.
