CORE ENGINEERING EXPERTISE

 Complete Engineering responsibility for the HV GIS substation overall engineering design, coordination & Bill of Quantities.

 Preparation of Single Line Diagrams for 132kV, 33kV, 11kV, LVAC/DC Systems of substations. Preparation of
Overall/Key SLDs based on scope of work and technical specification.

 Preparation and review of Indoor HV Substation layouts, HV/MV Cable routing layouts, Cable trays layout, Power
Transformer Installation, Reactor Installation, Capacitor banks and Earthing designs based on scope of work and
technical specification.

 Review of vendor RFQs/offers for different electrical equipments of substation. Scope demarcations, listing out required
technical salient points and finalizing technical resolutions.

 Review of vendor drawings / schematics of 132kV GIS, 33kV GIS, 11kV Switchgears with respect to client’s specification
and arranging on time approvals from client for enabling Factory Acceptance Tests.

 Review of vendor drawings of HV Power Transformers, Reactors, Capacitor Banks, with respect to client’s specification
and arranging on time approvals from client for enabling Factory Acceptance Tests.

 Direct vendor coordination for FAT & Dispatch clearance for Substation HV equipments such as 132kV GIS, 11/33kV
Switchgear, Power Transformers, Shunt Reactors, Capacitor Banks & HV/MV Cables.

 LVAC/DC systems, & Protection panels. Technical Coordination & follow up with the supplier/vendors of the project.

 Complete substation Grounding & Lightning system designs and layouts. BOQs and site installation drawings. Optimized
approach without compromising safety and quality.

 LVAC//DC sizing & system engineering. Power and control Cable interface schedules/philosophy and Termination
details preparation for the entire substation network considering the interfaces as a main contractor. Power & Control Cable
BOQs.

 On-grid Solar system design, finalization of inverter specifications, Solar layouts & Installation drawings. Solar system
coordination with other disciplines to ensure clash free design and execution.

 Organize and participate in FAT, obtain dispatch clearance for al HV/LV equipments. Closure of FAT punch points, Site
notes and liaise with installation & T/C team for site issue and close out activities.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES (ETA/ABB/JEP/L&T)

 Detailed study of Scope of Works and preparation of Tender Bill of Quantities. Review of OEM technical offers, deviations
of substation major equipments for tender submission purpose & POTC closure. Site Visits for tender evaluations, listing
the project complications and challenges.

 Preparation of engineering deliverable list post award of the project and liaising with inter departments for the submission
plan of Engineering drawings and documents. Forming the project design team and liaising with project cluster for project
progress reviews.

 Review of the project schedule prepared by the planning team to be in line with engineering milestones, site progress mile
stones and project completion time frame.

 Monitoring of engineering approvals, manufacturing clearance, production, FAT progress and list out the risks involved in
any stages of the project for the mitigation purpose bye self or the higher management as required.

 Tracking technical holding points & monitoring the detailed engineering, manufacture, FAT & delivery of equipments of the
project. Delay causes and continuous follow up with vendors & interdepartmental engineers. Ability to take timely decisions.

 FAT notification, coordination and Review of FAT/routine test reports of GIS, Transformers, Switchgears, Cables and
submit to end user/client for dispatch clearance. Site coordination for any site FCR and improvements.

 Complete responsibility for arranging FAT for all the equipments and ensure the quality of equipment delivered for the
project. Coordination and resolving of FAT punch list between OEM technical team and the end user and obtaining dispatch
clearance.

 Listing out the various handover deliverables of the project for facilitating taking over & clearance from end user/client.
Complete PTOC management with status monitor and action plans. Training presentations, OM manuals, As built
Submissions & project Closeouts issues until commissioning and reliability run.

 On-site support for site issues of Transformers, Reactors. Clearance of site notes and aftersales faults liaising with vendors
and clients.

With reference to your letter vide CE/L&T-DEWA/MANK/0003 dated 05-March-2017 regarding above
subject, please find below feedbacks on the Submission of Ogranization chart and CV's proposed by M/s.
L&T for MANKHOOL 132/11kV substation project:

1. Mr. Peer Mohammad - Project Manager - Not approved, contractor failed to furnish his L&T visa.

2. Mr. P Jegathish - Site Manager - Approved, incase he is not engaged by L&T in any other project.

3. The Switchgear Design Engineer (Mr. Kamaluddin), Civil Site Engineer (Mr. Chockalingam TED Code –
1443) and civil Design Manager (Mr. G.Arumugam TED Code – 1140) are Accepted/Approved by DEWA.

4. Mr. Kamaluddin (Transformer design engineer / Design Manager) will be called for interview shortly.

5. Mr. Sujith Mahajan (Cable Engineer – design and engineering) CV is not submitted and to be submitted
along with earlier approval copy, if approved with DEWA substations.

6. Mr. George Ibrahim Shamoun is not approved as Main contractor civil site engineer since he is already
engaged in JEBEL-HILLS project.

7. Mr. Thamimul Ansari is not approved as Main contractor FPS/MEP site engineer - He is advised to to
coordinate with TCD Engineer Mr. Sajid (mobile #0505025002) for interview as FPS/MEP Site Coordinator.

8. Mr. Naresh Hingonikar is approved as Planning Engineer for the project.

9. Mr. Venkateswarlu is advised to appear for interview on 04th April 2017 at 08:00 am - Discussion Room
3 – First Floor | Building: TP Admin | Location : DEWA Warsan Office. He is requested to bring along all
relevant documents.

10. Mr. Jagadish Matad - QA/QC Engineer (TED Code 1219) is not recommended as he is currently
engaged on another substation.

11. The contractor shall submit the CV's of installation and testing engineers.

12. CV for the proposed Telecom and SCADA engineer is not enclosed.

13. DEWA is not conducting any interview and issuing approval badge for Protection Design
engineer. Based on M/s. L&T, DEWA have reviewed the protection design engineer CV’s and do not have
any comments.

DEWA reserves the right to revoke approvals, subject to observation of non-satisfactory performance.

M/s. L&T is advised to revert back with proposals for pending individuals within five days from the receipt
of this correspondence.
