User defined alarms
› Ericsson RAN Analyzer includes a feature to detect those
cells whose operation is out of the user defined ranges.

› ERA shows how frequent an under-performing cell is


overcoming the thresholds and then state that there is a
clear symptom of malfunction.

› The execution of this analysis can be done automatically by the
Scheduler. The output will be find at User-Def. Alarms:

› For some reports, it is necessary to have executed the
Optional Features during the Operdb importation phase:
User Defined Alarms, Input Data Validation, Network
Consistency, Layer Management …etc.

› In case these features were not selected during the


Operdb importation phase some of the reports might not
be available. Remember that if had happened, the audits
can be run after the importation phase is finished too.

› Based on the UE Measurements Reports within call traces,
ERA includes the 3G Missing neighbors report.
› Worst Offenders: sectors ranked based on:
– #reported missing neighbors or #drops due to missing neighbors.
› Grid report: with different tabs for intra-frequency, inter-
frequency and inter-RAT pair of sector missing neighbors.

› Cells that may be affected by a wrong adjacency plan are
detected with this feature.
› Grid report shows every pair of sector-missing neighbors
(INTRA, INTER, iRAT) along with some relevant information
call traces based:
– Distance, number of events that reported that missing neighbor,
the average received RSCP and EcNo, etc.
– Inter-frequency and inter-RAT missing neighbors
tabs include if the proposed missing relations are
allowed according to Layer Management settings
or not.
