    Goals of the Purchasing Policy:
    Southern Clothing’s Ltd. to ensure the restricted chemicals will not to be purchased, which has
    been banned by local authorization & some renowned organization such as H&M, ZDHC &
    Others Buyers due to environmental and health concern’s.

    Objectives of the Chemical Purchasing Policy:

    • To ensure not purchase any restricted chemicals.


    • To ensure for purchase the less hazardous chemicals.
    • To purchase alternative chemicals instead of restricted chemicals.
    • To take updated Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Technical Data Sheet (TDS) &
    Restricted chemicals free guarantee latter from supplier.
    • To purchase good quality chemical with right price with right condition.
    • To purchase properly labeling chemicals.

    List of restricted hazardous substance in chemicals which are strictly


    prohibited for purchase:
    1. Alkyl phenol Ethylates / Alkyl phenols (APEO/AP) - (APEOs can be present in Detergents,
    Scouring Agent, Wetting Agent, Softeners, etc.)
    2. Chlorinated Aromatic Hydrocarbons
    3. Chlorinated Bleaching Agents
    4. Chlorinated Organic Solvents
    5. Chloroparaffins
    6. Chlorinated Phenols
    7. Di methyl form amide (DMF)
    8. Azo Dyes & Blue Colorant
    9. Disperse Dyes
    10. Dyes - Carcinogenic
    11. Flame Retardants
    12. Organic Solvents (In glues, spot removers, paints and lacquers)
    13. Organotin Compound (Antibacterial Agent)
    14. Perflurinated Chemical
    15. Formaldehyde
    16. Cadmium (Cd)
