Dear Mr. Robert A. Martin(Program Director)/Admissions Office,

I am very interested in applying and receiving my Masters in the Educational Leadership

program within Oakland University. With this particular opportunity, this will give me the
opportunity to enhance the skills that I do have that are needed when working with children
within the classroom as well as becoming a better leader for my students and team members.

Within my college career at the University of Michigan-Flint, I was granted many opportunities
working with children in many different school districts such as South Bendle Elementary,
Bentley Elementary School, Woodland Academy, Dye Elementary School, and Randels
Elementary as well as others. With that being said, I have learned the skills of lesson planning,
classroom management, and just being a positive influence while working with children within
the classroom.

With this opportunity, it will allow me to continue to grow as an educator and develop the
requirements and concepts within your classroom as a leader as well as problem solving skills
and maintaining what is expected of me within a classroom or building leader. Now that I have
graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Early Elementary Education I am looking forward to
putting my skills to the test to the best of my abilities.

Sincerely,

Tekeia Franklin
