    Course Description

    In the current information technology era, there can’t be any sector that could survive without proper
    utilization of Information about their business and any field they are engaged in. As part of this, Business
    and organizational managers would play a critical role in resisting or realizing the full implementation of
    MIS. This course is hence intended for the would be managers of MBA to introduce them with the basic
    concepts and roles of information system in the current business era; how to understand and align the MIS
    with the organizations business process and objectives so as to achieve the corporate objectives set.
    Further, the course takes step to introduce the basic system development and project management skills
    for business managers. To ensure the security of the organizational ICT and data resources, the courses
    also addresses MIS governance and IT policies so that Managers can oversee the security breaches that
    might arise.

    Teaching Strategy The course will be delivered in the form of

    and individual and group works. Students are
    expected to review research articles related with
    MIS and present the report of their review to the
    class
    Assessment Criteria The evaluation shall be based on both formative
    and summative assessment which include:
