This is an interview that I conducted 2 days ago with one of Brian Wayne, a 21 years old male

who is looking forward to become a pro gamer in basketball games.

Interviewer: Tell me about yourself:

Interviewee: I am 21 years old, have completed my college degree and looking forward to

become a professional basketball gamer.

Interviewer: What is your game of choice?

Interviewee: Since I was a child, I have always loved watching and playing basketball. My older

brother inspired me to become a renowned basketballer after seeing everything he has

accomplished as a professional basketball gamer.

Interviewer: Are you currently playing basketball on esports?

Interviewee: Yes, I have been playing for the past one year and am looking forward to reach the

pro level.

Interviewer: What do you like the most about esports?

Interviewee: One thing I like the most about esports is the simplicity and partial complexity of

the games with regards to the rules of the game.

Interviewer: Have you ever considered switching games?

Interviewee: I have never consider switching games because I find basketball to be fun and

interesting to play.

Interviewer: What level are you in currently?

Interviewee: I am still at the first level considering I have not been consistently playing for the

past 2 months due to health issues.

Interviewer: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Interviewee: Considering that I have regained my health and I now have more time to play, I

think I will be a pro player in the next five years.

Interviewer: What is your greatest strength?

Interviewee: My greatest strength lies in my attitude of not accepting to lose or become last in

everything that I do. It is what keeps me going day after day knowing that someday soon, I will

become a pro as a gamer.

Interviewer: What is your greatest accomplishment so far?

Interviewee: With regards to esports, my major accomplishment is winning 5 consecutive

matches over the short period that I have been playing.

Interviewer: What major problems do you face as an esports gamer?

Interviewee: The main challenge I have encountered as a gamer is related to slow and

sometimes unresponsive interface. I think it would be better if the company invested more on a

reliable platform.

Interviewer: Is there anything you think the company should change or implement?

Interviewee: Yes, I find the gaming platform rather complex and would prefer if it is changed

and made a bit simple to navigate through.

Interviewer: How do you manage to stay motivated?
