To Whom It May Concern,

It is my honor to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Celisha Meyers, a student
in the Applied Indigenous Studies program. I am a professor in that program and I taught one of
her university courses her junior year, where I had the opportunity to observe her skills and
watch her grow personally and intellectually over the course of a few months.

Ms. Meyers was observed to very participatory, engaging actively within the class discussions
with communication skills that allowed her to express her own Navajo Culture when appropriate.
She was thorough and conscientious. She has a thorough understanding of Applied Indigenous
Studies content. She communicated well, and has excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Ms. Meyers seems to genuinely enjoy getting to delve deeper into the Applied Indigenous
Studies curriculum.

Ms. Meyers demonstrated several strengths that will be to her advantage as she continues to
pursue a career in American Indian Studies. Celisha always comes prepared for class, took
ownership for her assigned responsibilities, and demonstrated personal integrity while
performing her duties as an Applied Indigenous Studies student. She is helpful and friendly and
very respectful of others.

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation. There is no doubt that Ms. Meyers will be an
asset wherever she may be accepted, both as a student and a compassionate person. Please do not
hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

John Doe
