    IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SPM-D SUCCESSOR (SPM-D2)

    This document contains helpful information migrating to SPM-D2. The shipment starts
    Mid Feb’16. Price stays the same to FY16 level. Please place your SPM-D2 orders NOW.

    Woodward’s SPM-D2 is form, fit and function compatible successor to each of the SPM-D line of
    synchronizer’s that are currently active. These are simple and robust microprocessor based
    synchronizers designed for use on three-phase AC generators equipped with Woodward or other
    compatible speed controls and automatic voltage regulators. Some salient features are,

    - USB device port for connection and configuration through PC (no more DPC and DPC cable
    needed)

    - Configuration through HMI without limitation on number of backwards navigation (SPM-Ds are
    limited to four time backwards navigation)

    - Loading default values (reload factory default settings)

    Hardware and Compliance

    - Declared DC power supply rating 120…375Vdc to the wide range power supply variants (with
    “N” extension in description). These units already supports 90..250Vac rating power supply

    - Removed C-Tick mark from all labels of the SPM-D2

    - All new units are prepared according to RoHS2 compliance

    - Ethernet hardware is prepared for further releases (for info)

    As we make the successor items available, the current items will go accelerated ramp down
    due to H8 processor obsolescence. An official and detailed support plan will be released Mid
    Jan’16. Below is a tentative scenario,
