    2. 50 gallons of a 4.0% solution is made by mixing of 6.8% and 2.8% solutions. (a) In
    what ratio should the 6.8% and 2.8% solutions be mixed? (b) How much of each is needed?

    3. The lynas company processes rare earth to obtain gypsum. however one of the residues produced
    from the process is WLP (water leaching purification). The lynas have chosen a place on the Bukit
    ketam, pahang as the WLP landfill. based on the selected site, the bukit ketam is located in the water
    catchment, which is located Figure 2 in the upstream LRA L Semambu (Kobat) water treatment plant
    (203,254m 3 / d -2017) which supplies to 80,000 people, RRI residence, Bukit sagu , bukit kuantan
    Future durian plantation. Referring to figure 1 shows lynas process flow diagram produces thorium
    from WLP. Question
    1. identify the health effects of radioactive thorium
    2. state thorium symptoms from ASTDR standard
    3. State how thorium can be exposed in water catchment
    4, Give 4 incidents of cases showing radioactive effects on rivers and surrounding areas (at least 2
    pages)
    5. based on above results (1-4) give your concrete comments to accept or rejected the project. (at
    least 2 pages)
