Question: What did you learn from this video?

“Nature by Numbers”

           It is amazing to see the world as an abstract of colors and shapes but what I didn’t know is
that it is more amazing to see it in patterns. It seems like we are all connected somehow by
patterns as shown in the video. From the nautilus shell to the wings of insects it has. Then I
recalled this sequence from my junior lessons. It was called the ‘Fibonacci Pattern’.

           Fibonacci Pattern starts in the number of 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34 and continues indefinitely.


Each number is acquired by adding the last two digits together that make the spiral. That spiral is
the pattern that the nautilus shell, sunflower and the insect has. Take as an example is the
nautilus shell. It can be mathematical diagrammed onto a plot of points 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,31 and
55.

           This pattern is noticeably, especially in nature. Let’s take a look at a sunflower that is
packed of seeds on its middle as it shown in video. You can notice its pattern. With the sequence
of 1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144 and continuously. The insects have this pattern too that made me
think that maybe we are all connected by this pattern.

           It is amazing how this pattern works in our nature. It seems like it was designed perfectly
by the best designer. It seems like he thought carefully about it that it became this beautiful and
mesmerizing. It is interesting to learn deeper about this sequence and pattern.
