Immaculate Conception Academy

RE: First Grade Teacher

Dear Mrs. Forkin,

In my search for a full-time teacher position, I was thrilled to find the First Grade Teacher opening with Immaculate
Conception Academy. As an ambitious professional with experience in elementary education, I believe that I would
make an excellent addition to your school family.

I am a graduate from Albright College with my B.A. in Family Studies and a co-concentration in Early
Childhood Education. The education department at Albright gave me the confidence I needed to believe that
one day I could be a teacher. As a child, I loved coming to school to read and write. My teachers always pushed
me in the right direction thus furthering my love for learning. When it came time to pick a career path, I knew I
would love being a teacher so that I could do for my future students what my teachers did for me.

Looking on your school website I noticed that Immaculate Conception Academy is more than just a school, it is
a family. Your faith-based learning sets a foundation of love, leadership, and learning which promotes a
positive environment for not only the students but the teachers and the families. Contributions to my former
First Grade Teacher role, and this field at-large, revolve around my essential talents in child development,
classroom management, and an overall deep love for fostering the love of learning in students. I have developed
strong abilities in communication with my students and their families as well as obtained organizational skills to
maintain a happy and safe learning environment. As a team player, I am collaborative with peers and search for
ways to integrate interactive lessons for my students. Through these qualities, I have confidence in my ability to
facilitate positive change in and out of the classroom.

I am applying for the First Grade Teaching position at your school because as a teacher we are always learning
and growing as time and education goes on to change. I wish to be able to continue my growth amongst the
loving school community you have built and further my learning in the presence of teachers with the same
passion as mine. For a greater illustration of my background and qualifications, please review my enclosed
resume. I am eager to speak with you about this opportunity and thoroughly appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely,
Ericka Major-Cruz
