Electric light

Thomas Alva Edison, on October 22th, 1879 was successful in his attempt to
light an incandescent light bulb with electricity.

That first light bulb lasted 13 hours and was the beginning of a process of
constant improvement, which has brought us the electric light that we enjoy
today.

Edison leaned on the advances of many other discoverers who were pioneers
in the field of electricity. Example, Alessandro Volta, who invented the
electric battery, among many other things, who was the first to manage to
put a filament incandescent when passing current. And he did it no less than
1800, 79 years earlier.

Electric light is very important since it is an essential element, we can use a

large number of devices and machinery that make life much easier. Most of
the time we use electric light as in social media, phone calls, video
conferencing with family and friends, these are three examples of how the
Internet allows people around the world to feel connected in a way that has
never been possible in history. And all this is due to the technology of light.

It is an invention that impresses me a lot because without it, we would not

have many things working now.
