    LECCION B: THINGS IN COMMON (COSAS EN COMUN)


    A-Dogs are so noisy, and they always wreck things. I’m just not an animal lover, I guess.
    (los perros son muy bullosos, y siempre destruyen las cosas. Yo no soy un amante de los
    animales)
    B-Well, I’m not either. I’m allergic to dogs and cats.(bueno, yo tampoco. Yo soy alérgico a
    los perros y gatos)
     En ingles cuando estamos de acuerdo con una negacion de alguien y el verbo es to
    be se responde I’m not either(yo tampoco). Veamos otros ejemplos de otras formas.
    A-I don’t watch much talevision.(yo no veo mucha televisión)
    B-No, Idon’t either(yo tampoco)
    A-I mean, I watch pro football.(quiero decir veo futbol profesional)
    B-Yeah, I do too. But that’s about it (si, yo también. Pero eso es todo)
     En este ejemplo el verbo es watch y esta en negativa forma. La respuesta No, I don’t
    either(yo tampoco). Cuando la oración es afirmativa si estoy de cuaedo con eso digo
    I do too(yo también). Miremos otro ejemplo:
    A-I love shopping. I can shop (comprar) for hours! Too bad I can’t afford anything new.
    (amo comprar. Yo puedo comprar por horas. Lastima que no puedo comprar nada mas)
    B-I know. I can’t either. I’m broke( lo se, you tampoco puedo. Estoy quebrado.
    A-Yeah, I am too (si, yo también)
     Cuando estamos de acuerdo con oración negativa decimos I can’t either (no puedo
    tampoco), cuando estoy de acuerdo con una afirmación digo I am too(yo también).
    Grammar: Responses with too(también) and either(tampoco).
    AFIRMACIONES: I’m allergic to cats. Respuesta: I am too (yo también)
    I WATCH PRO FOOTBALL. Respuesta I do too(yo también).
    I can shop for hours. Respuesta: I can too(yo puedo también)
    NEGACIONES: i’M NOT AN ANIMAL LOVER. Respuesta: I’m not either(yo
    tampoco).
    I don’t watch much televisión. Respuesta: I don’t either(yo tampoco)
    I can’t afford anything new. Respuesta: I can’t either(yo no puedo tampoco)

     Haga una lista de mínimo 10 palabras para cada uno de los siguientes

    CONVERSATION:
    Eve: Ooh, it’s cold tonight.
    Chris:Yeah, it is. But actually, I kind of like cold weather.(si, asi es. Pero realmente
    me gusta este tipo de clima).
    Eve: You do? Really?...Boy, there are a lot of people out here tonight.
    Chris: yeah, it gets pretty crowded on weekends.
    Eve: Do you come here a lot?
    Chris: Yeah, I do, actually.
    Eve: So are you a big hip-hop fan?
    Chris:yeah,I am. Are you?
    Eve: Actually, no, but my brother’s in the band tonight.
    Chris: Oh, really? Cool… By the way, my name’s Chris.
    Eve: Nice to meet you. I’m Eve.

    En ingles puede usar la palabra USUALLY para dar información sorprendente o


    nueva. Ejemplo: Do you come here a lot?(vienes mucho aquí?) Respuesta: yeah, I
    do, actually(si, realmente). Tambien se usa para corregir lo que la persona dice o
    piensa. So, you’re american? Respuesta: Well, actually, I’m from Canada..

    ACTIVITY 4:
    Aprenda la pronunciación del dialogo. Para hacerlo diga como se pronuncia cada
    palabra. Ejemplo: Eve: Oo, it’s cold tunait
    Chis: yea, it is. bat actuali ai kaind of laik cold ueder

    ACTIVITY 5:
    Haga la traducción de la conversación al español

    ACTIVITY 6:
    Haga la conversación en un audio y envíelo al instructor.

    2-Make the conversation interesting.

    3-Be a good listener.

    haga la traducción del texto al español.

    ACTIVITY 8:
    Para cada punto escriba dos o tres ideas para completar el texto. O sea el punto
    uno es tenga algunos tópicos listos para iniciar una conversación. Escriba que
    temas serian buenos para iniciar una conversación con cualquier persona. Digalo
    en ingles.. Luego pase al 2 y hasta que complete. Este ejercicio le ayuda a
    desarrollar todas sus habilidades.
