Horizontal angle measurement there are two methods

Repetition method

1. Theodolite apparatus
2. Tripod

1. Select a staion point A

2. Place the instrument at point A and adjust the telescope to the left
3. We make the horizontal reading at zero and Lock Vernia
4. We define point B and take a reading is zero
5. We Open the Vernia.
6. We define point C and take the angle reading from the horizontal vernia .
7. We Lock Vernia for the horizontal reading and back to point B
8. We Open the Vernia
9. We define point C and take the angle reading from the horizontal vernia
10. Repeat the process 3 times
11. We turn the telescope 180 Deg. to become the right face
12. Repeat the same steps on the right

13. We take the average left face with the right face
We distribute the error in proportion to the number of angles observed
