Madam:
Being able to express ideas in a well-structured and creative way is one of the primary objectives of Campus
Journalism. Hence, students with passion and aptitude to write are given opportunities not only to join contests but
also to come up with their school organ that functions as their instrument to articulate factual information, unbiased
opinions and meaningful insights regarding the happenings and issues within the school, community and country.
In view of this study, I would like to ask your permission allowing me to organize and manage a seminar –workshop
on Campus Journalism with the aspiring campus journalists and editorial board of KALASAG, the official school
publication of the Junior High School and Senior High School of Telabastagan Integrated School. This entails
promoting students journalistic skills in writing, showcasing the accomplishments and best practices of Telabastagan
Integrated School and preparing for the upcoming Divisions School Press Conference. I am recommending Mr. Jonel
Velasquez, a SHS teacher and School Paper adviser of Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School to facilitate
the said seminar. He has been able to be a coach in DSPC and RSPC. Moreso, Mr. Velasquez is highly competent to
discuss the chosen topics since he has a vast background regarding writing and Journalism.
The help and assistance that you will extend will contribute greatly to the success of this endeavor. Thank you very
much.
Respectfully yours,
DANICA D. GUEVARRA
