    Installation method of statement of HDPE pipe

    Material received at site shall be inspect and stored according to manufacturer


    recommendation. Material shall be stored in suitable dry space. During the unloading
    of the HDPE pipes and adequate manpower shall be used to unload the pipe and the
    piping and accessories shall be protected and covered with polythene sheets before
    installation.

    Tools required for HDPE Installation


    1:- Mechanical hand tool.
    2:- Cutting tools.
    3:- Drilling machine.
    4:- HDPE but fusion and welding machine.

    How to install HDPE pipes


    1:- All necessary safety precautions as per per established safety procedure
    shall be implemented during shifting and installation.
    2:- the pipe length shall be cut according to the approved drawing, and shall
    be joined using but fusion welding as applicable.

    Jointing of HDPE pipes


    Smaller diameter HDPE pipes ie up to 75 mm will be joined using the hot
    welding, while the pipes above 75 mm shall be joined by using a fusion
    machine.

    HDPE Electro - fusion Welding


    For HDPE electro- fusion welding, HDPE accessories are provided with spigot
    ends. The spigot ends are provided with low irregularities and welding sleeve
    has projections to allow their exact distance apart to be determined.

    But Welding of HDPE Pipes Procedure


    1:- The hot plate temperature must be 210C.
    2:- The hot plate must be clean and free of grease.
    3:- Ensure that the two pipes brackets and the two pipe supports are correctly
    aligned.
    4:- Both pipe clamps must be adjusted so that the hold the pipe tightly enough
    to withstand the force of the welding process.
    5:- Press the pipes ends against hot plates by briefly applying a high pressure
    continue heating very low pressure until and up stand of 1 mm has formed.
    6:- Quickly remove the hot plate and slowly increase the welding pressure.
    7:- Hold the welding pressure steady and allow the weld to cool.
    8:- Remove the joint and inspect the weld.
    9:- Gravity test apply after installation of HDPE pipe.
