NARRATIVE REPORT
Polytechnic State College, Sta. Maria Campus, had completed a total of Four hundred eighty-six
hours (486hours) requirement of my On-The-Job Training in the Office of Student Affairs and
Services or also known as OSAS, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College, Sta. Maria, Main
On the first day of my internship, I met the Director of Office of Student Affairs and
Services, Director Joemar J. Cabradilla and the student trustee Hon. Wilfredo Salvador. I felt a
bit nervous but I stayed calm and cool. I didn’t know anyone so I was on my own, concentrating
to my assigned work and asking questions for clarification. I gave all my best not to commit
mistakes but nevertheless the following day I made an error. On my first week I was assigned to
make an organizational chart of the OSAS officials and the key officials of ISPSC. I was
challenged to showcase my skills in graphic design which I have done good. As days went by, I
improved myself a lot, eager to learn new things from our director and student trustee, and show
that I can handle whatever task they want me to do and to prove I can do it.
During my training days, I was like the secretary of the director of OSAS. I am the one
who encodes and process the memorandum, travel orders, action plans, operational plans, test
papers and other documents. And at the same time I am the one who is in charge in
dissemination of documents. I will go to the deans or faculty of the different departments, office
of the president/ vice president, guidance, admin, campus administrator and others for the
signing of different documents. I also attended a meeting once as a proxy of the director. Went to
candon to accompany the director and student trustee for a short meeting. The OSAS also
I really like and enjoy my On-The-Job training or OJT in OSAS. Our director, student
trustee and SSC officers are very kind, approachable and funny. It served as the beginning, a
stepping stone to the real life of being an employee. It helped me acquire relevant knowledge and
skills by performing in an actual work setting. Office of Student Affairs and Services became my
development venue as a student to learn more about my chosen field which is Information
Technology and practice and apply what I have learned during my lower years.
I am very blessed and thankful to Director of OSAS, Dir. Joemar Cabradilla for
extending his patience, for sharing what he knew, and for the guidance and training at the office.
My subject teacher, Mrs. Ma. Cecilia Lazarte, who gave her valuable guidance on this On-The-
Job training. To the student trustee and part of OSAS, thank you, whose kindness and support in
the training was overwhelming. To my family for the moral and financial support, and last but
not the least, to God, for giving me strength and power of mind, protection and skills.
