Teaching Program: Yearly and Semester Program

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: At the end of the course, students would be able to develop yearly
and semester program according to unit level of learning.

A. INTRODUCTION
This unit is designed to introduce to students manuals and forms of the curriculum program
as most teachers named it teaching program. Teaching program consists of nine documents
in one chain construction. Yearly program and semester program are two ones in between
another seven documents.

B. TEACHING DOCUMENTS
Annually, teachers of English would associate to the association to design nine teaching
documents, which are as follows:

1. Mapping Competence (Pemetaan Kompetensi)


2. Identifying Core and Basic Competence (Identifikasi KI dan KD)
3. Leveling Cognitive Assessment (Rancangan Penilaian Kognitif)
4. Passing Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal)
5. Yearly Program (Program Tahunan)
6. Semester Program (Program Semester)
7. Allocated Time (Rincian Minggu Efektif)
8. Syllabi (Silabus)
9. Lesson Plan (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran)

There is a bundle of appendices containing sample of teaching document as listed above. In


order to have a practical competence on ways to develop these documents, then, you will get
along a task and/or a project to make up your own development on this area of learning.
