Strategic position of a company

The Strategic Position of the Tesco aim’s being successful in Retailing Industry worldwide and
to grow and expand their existing retailing services.

The Primary focus was finding better approaches for fulfilling consumes needs and building the
loyalty of the customer and focused on services and facilities.

The evident is that serve customer and keep Happy.

2. What potential problem area might arise in the field of Human Recourse Management?

According to Case Study I feel Tesco might have problems in:

A. Training and Development of Employee.


Since Tesco has more than 5 Lakh + employees investing resources like training and
development of Junior Level and newly recruited will be an issue in Human Resource
Management.

B. Retaining Skilled Employees

Competition for talent employees is always on high demand. They must be structured
onboarding process so the employees stay for long term and contribute to Tesco.

3What are the options could be given for consideration?

Several justified considerations to address the problem area

 Training and development will not take of money and time. Tesco must invest on this part
of resource.
 Seniors Managers can be used to mentor and monitor their subordinates or divide the
employees in small group to handle it effectively.
 Online Training Courses can be done individually using technology like MS Teams,
Skypes.
 Using Advanced Technologies, the flow of learning in work becomes active and
employee can concentrate on which module is weakness, so that better understanding
can be made by repetitive studies.

Investing on employees will eventually bring business and productive group in Tesco.

4. Choose one of the options which is most relevant to the given situation and develop a set of
HRM activities and methods to evaluate these activities.

Online course can be developed for Tesco:

 Step 1: Tesco has decided to teach or train employees on personality development


program.
 Step 2: Tesco must which Identify which module of Personality Development Program is
necessary for the company’s long-term strategy growth, for instance let’s take
Communication module.
 Step 3: Creating a communication module with respect to company, brand, variety of
products etc. details as part of module because how well employees communicate about
the product plays a vital role.
 Step 4: Imparting training in the areas Public speaking and presentation.
 Step 5: Manager or soft skills trainer trains the Tesco’s employees daily before the stores
open.
 Step 6: Employees who are on training will demonstrate few lines about the product and
specifications to small group who are part of training.
 Step 7: Manager will correct the presenter then and makes some notes.
 Step 8: Notes in the form comments will be published in portal of Tesco individual
access to employee’s information
 Step 9: Employee must correct and improve the areas where manager has put the notes.
 Step 10: Manager repeat this process of training for minimum of 2 weeks.
