     What type of research would you need to conduct for Mr. Anil Mehra?

    I need to conduct Applied Research Methodology for Mr. Anil because


    the purpose of Applied research is to answer a specific question and are
    conducted to find solutions that has direct application to the world.
    Conclusive Research: because we have to reach to a specific result that
    whether or not to publish a sport daily or launch it.
    Descriptive research (in conclusive): because no manipulation will be
    done and measured will the actual variable.
    Cross sectional (in descriptive):as the study of variable of the sample will
    be done at a particular point of time.
    Singular (in cross section): as it will be done on a single geographic area
    i.e. Delhi.
     What are the steps that you will need to carry out in the study?

    1. Formulation of research problem – Research problem is the field in


    which research is done. It starts with a research question, here the
    research question is should the sports daily be launched or not.
    Research problem consists of research question, research
    gap, research objectives, research variable and research hypothesis.
    2. Creation of research design.
    3. Determining the sources of data- here primary data needs to be
    collected.
    4. Constructing instrument for data collection – a questionnaire will
    be constructed which will be relate question to the interests of
    people in sports.
    5. Determining population and selecting sample – here the population
    is the people of Delhi who read newspaper and sample will be
    people from them.
    6. Collecting data – data will be collected with the help of survey.
    7. Processing data – data will process with the help of statistical tools.
    8. Analysing data – we need to analyse the data to reach up to a
    conclusion.
    9. Discussion of result – a lot of brain storming need to be done and it
    is the phase where it will be decided whether or not to launch the
    sports daily.
    10.Writing a report – a brief description of the research work needs to
    be done.
     What aspects would you taken into account while designing the study?

     It must have a clearly stated purpose. This not only refers to the
    objective of the study, but also precise definition of the scope and
    domain of the study.
     It must follow a systematic and detailed plan for investigating the
    research problem. The systematic conduction also requires that all the
    steps in the research process are interlinked and follow a sequence.
     The selection of techniques of collecting information sampling plan
    and data analysis techniques must be supported by a logical
    justification about why the methods were selected.
     The results of the study must be presented in an unbiased, objective
    and neutral manner.
     The research at every stage and at any cost must maintain the highest
    ethical standards.
     And lastly the reason for a structured ethical justifiable and objective
    approach in the fact that the research carried out must be replicable
    this means that the process followed must be reliable.
