2.0 Tutorials
The tutorials need to be done in groups of 3-4 students. There will be 1 set of
tutorial question (3 questions per set) which covers each of the topic in this course.
The questions are taken from the main textbook and past year examinations, and
will be uploaded in the online learning. The detailed information relating to the
tutorials are as follows:

3.0 Quizzes (individual)

There will be 2 online quizzes. Online quiz 1 will be on topic 3 and online quiz 2
will be on topic 8. Each online quiz carry 5%. The dates for the online quizzes are
as follows:
 Online Quiz 1 – 16 October 2019 (Sunday) or 17 October 2019 (Monday)
 Online Quiz 2 – 18 December 2019 (Wednesday) or 19 December 2019
(Thursday)

4.0 Assignment 1 (Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills - CTPS)

Assignment 1 will be assessed through 1 question in Tutorial 3-6 using CTPS


Rubrics.

5.0 Ethics (individual)

Students will be evaluated on their ethics throughout the semester. A number of


criteria will be used for the ethics assessment, which includes attendance and
participation, discipline, punctuality and attire, assessment completion and on-time
submission and peer evaluation. The evaluation will be using the ethics and
professionalism rubrics.

Attendance, participation, discipline, punctuality and attire will be assessed by


lecturer throughout the semester.

Assessment completion and on-time submission will be assessed based on all


tutorial questions (Tutorial 1-8).

Peer evaluation will be based on all assessment done in groups which includes all
tutorials and Assignment 3.

6.0 Assignment 3 - Communication Skills (Individual)

This assignment is designed to sharpen students’ soft skills in presentation. The


assignment needs to be prepared in groups of 3-4 students. Group member will be
determined by students themselves. Each group should find a journal article about
Activity Based Costing (ABC), read the material and present what have been read.
Every member must take part in the presentation. Students may discuss the
content of the materials and prepare the presentation slides in their respective
groups, however, the presentation assessment will be done on individual students.

The assessment will be using presentation rubric. The tentative date for the
presentation is between 02 December 2019 and 12 December 2019.
