a) A circle, centre O, has a sector OAB shaded, with A and B being two points on
the circumference. If angle AOB is 45˚, and the circle has a radius of 6cm,
calculate:
i) The length of arc AB
ii) The length of chord AB
iii) The angle between OA and chord AB
b) A chord of length 10cm is inside a circle with a diameter of 28cm. Find the
shortest distance from the chord to the centre of the circle.
c) A circle, centre O, of radius 3cm has a sector OAB shaded, with A and B being
points on the circumference. If the area of sector OAB is 10cm 2, calculate the
angle OAB, where AB is a chord.
