THERAPIST
Most sad people empty their wallets on therapy but where do origami and
sadness meet ?
The basic concept is that origami keeps you focused on one thing and most
people have scattered brains, including me and in that scatters brain you can
have sad and depressing memories so basically origami can attack those
memories head on, like Gandalf and Sauron, and never let them enter your
brain.
Origami is pleasurable
I am self-taught but giving and sharing origami connects me with others
which I believe is a good way to connect with friends. Although origami can
certainly be enjoyed alone at one's own work table, even this confirmed
introvert is excited with the idea of coming together with those who enjoy
origami to teach and learn, share, and meet others with similar interests.
Some folding techniques and some models are much easier to learn with the
help of another folder. I usually fold at home with videos, but it helps to have a
friend when I am not getting the folds right or I’m discouraged by the results.
Also, a friend allows for exposure to styles and techniques of origami which I
might not find or try on my own
Origami is important in teaching symmetry; for many of the folds,
whatever is done to one side is done to the other. ... In addition, paper-
folding allows students to create and manipulate basic geometric
shapes such as squares, rectangles, and triangles. Kind of as if you
were a god.
Now, I have a question for you, why are you waiting, now go pick up a piece of
paper and make something!.........now!
‘’origami helps you fold paper and unfold your mind .’’
