competitive forces. The value chain highlights the specific activities in a

Sears has engaged in a struggle to overcome the competition in the market in
the midst of its efforts and advantages in some of the forces. In two of the five
forces, Sears is doing pretty well and these include the substitute products and
new markets entrants. Its competitors include the Macy's and Walmart who are

products. The biggest struggle with Sears is its suppliers. It focused on

working well. It has selected the technology to solve its problems. They have
been able to differentiate the shopping experience for its customers using an
innovative technology. It has adopted a new Point of sale system that has
enabled centralization of every store's general; offices, credit functions,
customer services cashiers and ATM installation.
Sear's new strategy has not been effective. The technology was not enough
albeit the company invested heavily among any other companies. This indicates
that they chose the right direction but chose the wrong method/time.

Hambatan yang ada di sears yaitu supplier. Ini fokus pada improvement teknologi tetapi gagal dalam
rekonstruksi sistem supplier yang menyebabkan pengurangan daya beli dalam bersaing melawan
Walmart. Tetapi mereka berhasil baik dengan pelanggan dan berusaha untuk mempertahankan
pelanggan yang bekerja dengan baik menggunakan Shop Your Way Rewards.
