MOTION TO REVOKE DEFENDANT'S BOND


AND REQUEST FOR EXPEDITED HEARING

NOW INTO COURT comes the State of Louisiana, through the undersi gned Assistant

Attorneys General, who moves to revoke the Defendant's bond for the following reasons or in

the alternative, to increase the conditions on the Defendant's bond.

The Defendant is charged with Second Degree Murder, La. R.S. 14:30.1 (Count 1)

wherein she shot and killed the victim, Thomas Coutee, Jr., with a handgun, and Obstruction of

Justice, La. R.S. 14: 130.1 (Count 2).

The Defendant filed a Motion for Reduction of Bond which was heard on November 18,

2019. After considering the arguments and evidence presented, this Court reduced the

defendant's bond amount for Second Degree Murder to $500,000.00 and the bond amount for

Obstruction of Justice to $10,000.00 with conditions. (See Exhibit A)

Shortly thereafter, the Defendant posted bond and was released from the Rapides Parish

Jail. The State filed a Motion to Reconsider Conditions of Defendant's Bond in an attempt to

have the defendant equipped with an ankle monitqr to ensure the conditions of h er bond are

followed. A hearing on the State's Motion was held on December 16, 2019, and the Motion was

granted without any objection from the Defendant.

On February 5, 2020, this Court granted a request from the Defendant to travel to

Oklahoma for the specific purpose to visit her son in Oologah, Oklahoma between the dates of

February 6, 2020 to February 9, 2020. The Defendant also requested to travel to Wagoner,

Oklahoma on March 12, 2020 for a court date. Upon request, the Defendant provided this Court

with the specific locations she intended to travel as well as written permission from the father of

her son confirming his approval for her visit to Oologah, Oklahoma.

However, on February 6, 2020, Defendant abandoned the court approved travel itinerary

and appeared at the home of around 8:00 p.m. is the father of

one of the Defendant's minor daughters, and this daughter was present at the home when the
